Minami MorEPA Original Omega-3-Fischöl – 590 mg EPA

I received a 30-count bottle of these Omega 3 oil capsules, working out to 60p/day for 720mg of EPA & DHA combined, 590mg of which being EPA. While this is not a cheap Omega 3 supplement, it does contain significantly more EPA than the average supplement. The brand does offer a 60-count bottle which works out to a 33% saving per capsule. The capsules are large and slightly cloudy, but do not have the traditional fishy smell. In fact, there is a very subtle lemon-like scent to the capsules which is weird to describe. Because of this they have never made me gag or feel sick, which is common with others. The capsules come in a standard flip-top bottle which also comes in a card box, nicely printed with details about the product and suggestive of a higher quality compared to others. I have been taking one of these capsules per day to combine them with a separate product which contains high levels of DHA from algae oil, so that I get a large dosage of both Omega 3s. If you dislike taking so many capsules, this product is a worthwhile purchase as each capsule is 85% Omega 3, and contains up to 4x the Omega 3 of other capsules I have used. It's difficult to say how much of an impact this is having on me because I do already have a consistently high intake of Omega 3 in my diet and through supplementation, but I have had positive effects on mood and inflammatory measures since taking Omega 3 supplements, which have not worsened since taking this particular supplement. Examine.com says that "It [Omega 3] appears to notably improve mood in people with major depression, though it's unclear if it has an effect in people with minor depression.[20] EPA, in particular, seems to be the most effective omega-3 fatty acid for this purpose which suggests that the effects of fish oil are due to reducing neuroinflammation. Its anti-inflammatory benefits also seem to extend to reducing the symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus.". I would recommend to purchase the 60-count bottle as this is significantly more cost-effective than the 30-count bottle.

It is a fantastic product. My skin looks so much better. My energy levels are up. I have since discovered that Minami has a version for kids. I will be buying that. Thank you for taking the time to produce a very good product. Ethel

Good quality and no fish burps!

Easy to swallow, decent taste, feel great. Recommended by nutrionist.

There is a lovely smell of orange when you open the bottle, however there is no taste of orange, nor of fish, to the capsule or its contents. The large capsules are easy to swallow, thank goodness, as I hate swallowing tablets ! There are numerous studies regarding the benefits of fish oil, and I have been taking them for many years to support my brain and heart function. These are good ones, with no taste or after-taste. I particularly like the manufacturer of these capsules, as they are produced in the UK, using a low temperature purification process, which must be good when dealing with oil, which so easily can become rancid when heated. I am impressed by the long use-by date April 2023. One word of advice it is better value to buy the 60 capsule size, but of course, if you want to try them out first to see if they suit you, before buying the larger quantity, then this 30 capsule size is a good way to try them out.

Packaging and design is great. "Functionaity", IDK. I use it to help with Omega3 benefits, I'll only know on the long term the effects.
